Question 1

Where are Outdoor Compass products designed and crafted?

Accepted Answer

All Outdoor Compass technical outerwear and equipment are conceptualized, tested, and handcrafted in Nepal. Our atelier in Kathmandu brings together experienced local tailors and alpine technicians dedicated to producing world-class mountaineering apparel.

Question 2

Do you ship worldwide and deliver to tourists visiting Nepal?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We ship worldwide to over 150+ countries via DHL Express & FedEx Air Priority (3–7 business days). For international tourists and climbing expeditions arriving in Nepal, we also provide complimentary gear delivery directly to your hotel or lodge reception in Kathmandu or Pokhara prior to your trek, as well as instant collection at our Thamel atelier.

Question 3

Are your jackets engineered for extreme high-altitude conditions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our expedition down parkas and alpine storm shells are field-tested across Himalayan peaks above 5,000 meters. They are engineered to provide maximum thermal retention, windproofing, and breathability in sub-zero alpine environments.

Question 4

How do I choose the correct size for systematic layering?

Accepted Answer

Please refer to our Size & Fit Guide for detailed chest, waist, and sleeve measurements. Our apparel is patterned with an Alpine Articulated Fit to allow seamless layering over technical fleece or mid-layers. If you plan to wear heavy multi-layer insulation beneath hard shells, we recommend sizing up.

Question 5

What are your shipping timelines and coverage?

Accepted Answer

Worldwide express shipping arrives in 3–7 business days. Inside Nepal, deliveries in the Kathmandu Valley take 1–2 business days (with same-day dispatch for morning orders), major provincial cities take 2–4 business days, and remote high-altitude trail hubs (Lukla, Namche, Jomsom) take 4–7 business days. We offer free delivery in Kathmandu Valley over NPR 2,500 and free nationwide delivery over NPR 5,000.

Question 6

What payment methods are accepted for international orders?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major international credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) with secure 3D-Secure 2.0 processing, alongside local Nepali digital payments (eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay QR) for domestic orders.

Question 7

What is your return and size exchange policy?

Accepted Answer

We offer a 7-day hassle-free return and size exchange policy for unworn items in original condition with all tags attached. Size swaps have zero restocking fees, and refunds are processed within 2–4 business days of item inspection. Returns and exchanges can be arranged via courier pickup in Kathmandu or drop-off at our Thamel workshop.

Question 8

Do you offer lifetime repair and warranty services?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We stand behind our craftsmanship. We offer free first repairs for functional failures, seam sealing restorations, and zipper replacements at our Kathmandu workshop, with most repairs turned around in two weeks to ensure your gear lasts decades of mountain exploration.
